8月1日，最新版的Common Application网申系统正式开放，这意味着2019-2020季美国本科新生申请已经正式拉开帷幕！

Common Application，是美国大学本科入学网上申请的一站式网站，适用于包括哈佛、耶鲁、普林斯顿等名校在内的700多所美国大学。

今年的申请系统启用了全新的外观风格，并且多处填写细节也有变动，让我们一起来看看新的Common App系统！

1. 推出移动端

 Common系统和BridgeU, Cialfo, FolderWave以及MaiaLearning等软件合作，增加了系统在移动端的使用，包括手机和PAD中的适配和响应；使用者可以在其移动设备和平板电脑上获得更灵活的界面和更积极的体验。

2. 犯罪历史删除

针对犯罪历史更新（updates to criminal history）部分，信息的收集将从原“共同”部分以及学校报告中删除。但是，如果大学愿意，可以在其个人会员系统中查询犯罪历史信息。学生纪律问题将保留在申请的“共同”部分。

3. 课外活动列表更新

课外活动列表更加灵活，学生可以在common系统展示他们最引人注目和准确的个人叙述。课外活动菜单叙述用词会有较小的改变，起到提示和引导的作用，帮助学生填写最初可能没有想到的活动，包括家庭责任和社区参与，也会提示和鼓励学生按照对他们认为的重要性列出活动。课外活动列表仍然最多可填写10项活动。

4. 搜索功能及VR功能上线

大学搜索功能更加完善，除了常规的联系方式，官网链接，申请时间等信息，新增了学校导航（College Navigator），该选项会链接到美国国家教育统计中心的数据库，帮助学生了解学校的申请数据，录取人数和学费等更为详细的信息。

还有虚拟校园浏览模式（Virtual Tour）供各位同学直观地感受校园环境。

至于学生们最关心的2019-2020 Common App的文书题目，CA系统官宣将继续沿用2018-2019的文书题目，依然是7选1的方式。文书题目如下：

1. Some students have a background, identity, interest, or talent so meaningful they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, please share your story.

2. The lessons we take from obstacles we encounter can be fundamental to later success. Recount a time when you faced a challenge, setback, or failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?

3. Reflect on a time when you questioned or challenged a belief or idea. What prompted your thinking? What was the outcome?

4. Describe a problem you’ve solved or a problem you’d like to solve. It can be an intellectual challenge, a research query, an ethical dilemma — anything of personal importance, no matter the scale. Explain its significance to you and what steps you took or could be taken to identify a solution.

5. Discuss an accomplishment, event, or realization that sparked a period of personal growth and a new understanding of yourself or others.

6. Describe a topic, idea, or concept you find so engaging it makes you lose all track of time. Why does it captivate you? What or who do you turn to when you want to learn more?

7. Share an essay on any topic of your choice. It can be one you’ve already written, one that responds to a different prompt, or one of your own design.
